Dean Close School Summer School - summer camp Churchill House is a summer language camp that has been successfully operating since 1971 and hosts boys and girls from all over the world annually for effective, interesting combined English courses. Over the years, the network of language centers and schools Churchill House has earned an excellent reputation in the international community, popularity and respect among students, is accredited by the British Council and is part of prestigious international organizations and associations (Quality English, Education UK, English UK) . Summer course of English for children and teenagers

Groups for summer English lessons are recruited small, up to 13-15 students maximum. With the children there are professional, experienced teachers who have the necessary qualifications and attestations for teaching in international groups and for foreign students.
Before the beginning of the classes, all students undergo an introductory testing, which distributes them to the appropriate groups according to the primary level of knowledge: so the study becomes not only more effective, but also more comfortable. Any course (except intensive) includes 15 English lessons weekly - the classes are aimed at the comprehensive improvement of all the key, basic English skills:

  • Grammar
  • Reading
  • Auditing (listening comprehension)
  • Vocabulary (active expansion of vocabulary)
  • Written speech
  • Oral speech (spoken English)
  • Phonetics (correct pronunciation, accent correction)
  • Improve communication skills.

Classes are arranged so that all the learned theoretical material is constantly reinforced with practical examples, conversations and assignments. In practical training, the students are helped by the special types of classes envisaged in the plan for the summer course:

  • Preparation for excursions: teachers come up with various assignments, texts and quests, so that students can better study places and cities during weekly excursions
  • Studying culture and design work: each group of students (there are individual and twin projects) is given a task in the field of culture - this can be a full review or the creation of a journal article, a school newspaper, etc.
  • Internet lessons, in the course of which students on the Web search for materials for their projects, prepare for their presentation to the group and the teacher.

After the end of the program, students receive a corporate name certificate indicating all the successes and achievements achieved at the language level, as well as a full report from the teachers with recommendations and advice on further development and training. Accommodation and food

For children on summer courses, cozy, fully equipped and furnished rooms are available in comfortable residences: mostly rooms for 2-4 people (with conveniences), on request and with a small surcharge, a private room with a bath can be booked. In one room most often inhabited by foreigners from different countries, but approximately the same age and with an equal initial level of English: this helps to practice additionally in free hours, quickly increase the level of conversational ability. Residences are of a mixed type, but boys and girls live on different floors.
