Study Design in Switzerland for International Students: Features
Usually, the study of design in Switzerland begins with a bachelor's degree. The classic three-year bachelor's degree course introduces students to the issues of contemporary artistic practice and helps them develop their own approach to work. This is not teaching art history alone – students are experiencing and exposed to a wide range of ideas, forms, media, materials and issues of individuality and copyright. In addition to working in the studio, the course is based on group discussions with other students and teachers. Artists and art theorists from Switzerland and abroad are regularly invited as guest lecturers to support students in their studies. In the three-year undergraduate course, students acquire technical skills and expand their knowledge of the issues and topics that define contemporary artistic practice.
In Switzerland, there are about 100-140 courses with creative overtones, including design, web design, and graphic design, which are so popular in the 21st century. Leading design schools in Switzerland provide an insight into various media, students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in workshops, thanks to additional materials, along with their personal specialization in the context of their artistic practice.
Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in design typically choose one of seven majors as part of their six-semester full-time program. In master's programs, students have access to 2 to 4 academic semesters. Popular branches of the specialty:

The head of the educational program decides on the basis of the application documents whether proof of exceptional talent has been provided.

The cost of a bachelor's thesis in design is from CHF 300, university tuition is from CHF 500 to CHF 5000 / semester.
For materials, trips, excursions, books, etc., students must consider the following additional expenses:
