Bede's Dicker School, located directly in the town of Dicker (Sussex County near Eastbourne) is the flagship school of the famous Bede's network. In summer, students from all over the world are invited to school: students aged 12-17 are offered interesting and effective training programs aimed at learning English along with numerous entertainment and sightseeing activities. On the first day, before the beginning of the classes, all international students pass the introductory distribution test: all of them are engaged in groups corresponding to their age and level of basic training - this makes the learning process not only more effective, but also more comfortable. There are 7 levels of knowledge in total, groups are recruited up to 14 people in each.

Universal English Plus course develops all basic language skills in a complex way:

  • Reading;
  • Auditing (listening comprehension);
  • Written speech;
  • Oral speech (spoken English);
  • Grammar;
  • Vocabulary (vocabulary expansion);
  • Phonetics (correct pronunciation, correction of accent).

Particular attention is paid to the development of spoken and communicative skills - this allows you to teach children to communicate with any interlocutor in any situation, improve fluency and literacy of speech. At the end of the program, each student receives a corporate certificate, indicating his progress and the language level achieved.

Each week, students are provided with guided tours, to which they receive mini-tasks: tell what they saw, what impressed them most, give a brief historical reference, etc. Also students are offered 5 small project assignments: it can be a student newspaper, group writing of poems or songs, sketches and small dramatic etudes, etc.

For an additional fee, students can add to the personal curriculum and classes in academic subjects (1 subject per week, 5 lessons weekly on weekdays):

In addition, for a fee, you can prepare for the PET (Preliminary English Test) and pass it at the end of the summer course. Brief information: A unique summer program of English on the basis of one of the oldest dance schools of the country - Legat School of Dance (founded in 1939, prepares professional dancers as a full board).

The intensity of the classes is 15 lessons per week (on weekdays from Monday to Friday). The duration of the course is 2 weeks = from 2 to 17 July.

In the morning, students are engaged with the students of the main course, improving all the basic language skills:
