The American College in Spain (ACS) is an international center of Broward College, located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. As an international center, the ACS is authorized to deliver the Broward College associate degree in Spain.

Main Programs:

The American College in Spain offers a curriculum based on the U.S. university system. Students can begin in Spain their first two years of studies by completing their general education courses required by all U.S. universities. After completion of these two years, foreign students are transferred to a North American university (USA or any other university in Europe that offers the North American university system) where they can complete their degree: BA (Bachelor of Arts), BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) or BSc (Bachelor of Science).

The American College in Spain offers a high school diploma through The University of Nebraska High School, a fully accredited program whereby students can complete their high school in Spain.

The University of Nebraska High School advises international students individually choose the studying courses necessary for high school completion. Students attend classes at the American College in Spain where they are provided with an instructor in each of their subjects. All homework, testing, and grades are done through the University of Nebraska High School.

  • GED Program

The American College in Spain offers courses that are designed to prepare the students to pass the GED exam.

The GED (General Educational Development) is a High School proficiency test that evaluates 4 areas of the student’s knowledge: Social Studies, Science, English and Mathematics. It consists of a series of 4 tests that once passed demonstrates that the student meets the necessary requirements of a high school education in the United States of America. Once completed, the student will receive a GED diploma.

The American College in Spain is an authorized Pearson - VUE testing center.

Academic English is a program that has been developed to allow foreign students to obtain an appropriate and sufficient level of English so that they are able to receive a formal education that is taught in this language. The program is adapted to the student’s level and maintains grammar, conversation, and writing as its main pillars.

Upon completing this program, the student will have reached the level necessary to comfortably pursue a degree that is taught in English.

This program includes 18 lecture hours per week over a 12 week period and it is taught by native English teachers.

After graduation from college, students can enroll in a selected institution in America for translation. Most universities accept graduates with credits for their loans.

You can go to college for several programs. The general subject course of university training allows later transfer to the faculties of the humanities, English and literature, computer science, journalism, international relations, economics, communications, marketing, management, business.
