Yelets branch of RosNOU was established on June 15, 2000.

The learning process includes:

• a course of lectures and seminars,
• practical exercises,
• passage of educational, industrial and pre-diploma practices.

As part of the Yelets branch of RosNOU there are three departments:

• Law
• Applied Economics,
• Humanities and services.

The main directions of research work of the Yelets branch of RosNOU:

• Political institutions, ethnopolitical conflictology, national and political processes and technologies,
• Legal education, legal education, formation of legal consciousness of the population and crime prevention,
• Public speech impact (socio-psychological aspects),
• Socio-psychological problems of interaction of individuals in the team.

The Yelets branch of RosNOU conducts international cooperation with the International State Ecological Institute named after A.D. Sakharov of the Belarusian State University.

For meals for students and employees, the Branch is equipped with a café for 60 seats.

To involve students in social and scientific activities, the Yelets branch of RosNOU organizes and takes part in the following events:

• Promo tour "Area of Opportunities",
• Intellectual marathon "Connoisseurs of Sciences",
• International Research Competition "The Future of Science",
• International Research Competition "Young Scientist",
• All-Russian Running Day "Cross of the Nation".

The educational activities of the Yelets branch of RosNOU are conducted in the educational and administrative building. The building houses classrooms, classrooms are equipped with: modern computer and multimedia equipment, visual and teaching aids in the disciplines.

Students are given free access to the library.

For sports, the Branch offers:

• an outdoor stadium of a wide profile with elements of an obstacle course,
• shooting range.

In the Yelets branch of RosNOU, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and in August).

For admission to the Yelets branch of RosNOU, you must provide:

• State-recognized certificate of education and qualifications,
• Confirmation of individual achievements, the results of which are taken into account when admitting.
