The Conservatory was founded in 1917 in the city of Volgograd. 

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical exercises, educational and pre-diploma practice.

• Pop and jazz music,
• History and Theory of Music,
• Social and humanitarian disciplines.

The Conservatory conducts research activities in the following areas:

• Culture, art, education: theory and practice,

• Problems of historical and theoretical musicology,
• Volgograd Conservatory named after P.A. Serebryakov: from the origins to the present day.

The Conservatory conducts international cooperation with the following organizations:

The conservatory does not provide dormitories for nonresident students.

For meals for students and staff, the conservatory has a dining room for 25 seats.

To involve students in social activities, the Conservatory organizes and participates in the following events:

• Concert "Music without Borders",
• Concert "Khachaturian: Touches to the Jubilee Portrait",
• Reporting concerts on different classes of instruments,
• Concert of Valentina Lisitsa,
• Contest "Beauty of Serebryakovka",

• Creative event "National Culture – Flight of Creativity!".

The education process takes place in a single educational building, equipped with classrooms for lectures and practical classes. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology: computers, screens, projectors and TVs.

Students have access to a study library with a reading room for 25 seats.

A gym is available for sports.

At the conservatory, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each of them, an examination session is held, after which students are given a vacation (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).

For admission to the conservatory, you must provide the following list of documents:

After graduating from their conservatory, students become qualified specialists in the field of musical art, in demand in orchestral, theatrical and choral associations.

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:

• Completed education not lower than secondary general,
• Points for entrance examinations conducted by the conservatory itself are not lower than 60:

  • Interview.
• Points received for the exam are not lower than:
  • Russian language — 40,

For admission to master's programs, you must:

• Completed higher education,
• Successful completion of university entrance examinations with scores of at least 60:

  • Specialty.
