The Volga branch of MADI was established on May 5, 2000. The main task of MADI and its branches is to educate highly qualified personnel for road transport, road and bridge and airfield construction, the industry of road-building machines and automated control systems in the motor transport complex.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes, introductory, project, technological, performing, survey and pre-diploma practice.

The educational process is organized at the Faculty of Roads and Transport.

Directions of scientific activity of the Branch:

• Environmentally friendly and high-speed ground transportation,
• New transport technologies,
• Vehicles on alternative fuels,
• Traffic safety, intermodal transport and logistics systems,
• Traffic safety systems,
• Investigation of human biomechanics in road accidents,
• Information and telecommunication technologies and electronics,
• Automation of technological processes and production,
• Development of tools and methods of intelligent programming.

The Volga branch of MADI does not have its own dormitories. Nonresident full-time students of the Branch in need of housing are provided with places in the dormitories of educational organizations of the Chuvash Republic.

To involve students in social and scientific activities, the Volga branch of MADI organizes and takes part in the following events:

Studies in the Volga branch of MADI are carried out in an educational building equipped with lecture flow rooms, classrooms for practical classes, specialized classrooms for laboratory work, and rooms for independent work. The offices are equipped with appropriate furniture, technical means, access control and management system.

Students are given free access to the library and reading room with 50 seats.

For sports, the Volga branch of MADI offers:

In the Volga branch of MADI, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after which students are given a vacation (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).

The branch educates mechanical engineers of road transport, road-building machines, hydropneumatic automation and hydraulic drive, engineers for the operation of road transport, mechanical engineers for the research, testing and operation of internal combustion engines, civil engineers for highways, bridges, tunnels and integrated mechanization of construction, road traffic engineers, system engineers, economists for road transport and road transport Construction.

In the Volga branch of MADI there is a Center for assistance in the employment of graduates of the Volga branch of MADI.

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:
