UralSUFK today is a large scientific and educational complex that ensures the implementation of an innovative learning process in the field of physical education and sports. Graduates of the university become famous coaches and athletes.

Educational process

The schedule of classes for each group of students is formed on the basis of the form of education of students, the direction of study and the course. The implementation of educational programs at the University provides for such forms of study as lectures, practical and seminar classes, extracurricular activities (excursions, practices).

On average, one study pair lasts 2 academic hours (1.5 hours), between classes there are breaks from 5 to 15 minutes.

On the basis of UralGUFK conduct their activities:

Since 2014, uralSUFK has been publishing a periodical Scientific and Sports Bulletin of the Urals and Siberia.

Graduates of the University are 14 Olympic champions.

On the basis of the University there is a Center for the History of Ural State University of Sports and Sports Glory. During the existence of the Center, more than 35,000 people have become its visitors.

UralSUFC volunteer students annually take part in large-scale sports events: the World Martial Arts Games (St. Petersburg), the Olympic Games (London), the 2014 Olympics (Sochi), the World Summer Universiade (Kazan) and others

On the territory of the university campus there are 2 dormitories for nonresident students. The total number of beds is 675. Both dormitory buildings provide accommodation for students with hearing impairments.

Meals for students are carried out on the territory of the university in three canteens, the total capacity is 300 people.

Student life in the Ural State University of Culture is built in such a way that students could not only receive and assimilate knowledge in the field of their chosen profession, but also be able to practice certain skills. Every year, a lot of events dedicated to state and university holidays are held within the walls of the university. Every month events and Spartakiads are held, the most famous of which are: "Student Spring", career guidance contest "Step into the Profession", "Miss and Mr. UralGUFK", etc.

A sports club, a university team of KVG, a scientific club and others have been created.

The most popular events of the University are competitions in various sports.

On the basis of the Ural State University of Culture, the Student Trade Union "Trade Union of UralGUFK" was created: this is the protection of the interests and rights of students, assistance and organization of the cultural life of students.

Facilities and equipment at Ural State University of Physical Culture, UralSUFK

UralSUFK is a state Russian university, which has a whole educational complex at its disposal. In total, the University has 4 academic buildings at its disposal, where sports halls, classrooms, classrooms for independent learning, rooms for practical classes are equipped. All classrooms of the university are equipped with modern computers, projectors and interactive whiteboards. In total, the University owns about 158 computers with the Internet.

Almost every educational building has a sports hall with all the necessary sports equipment. In addition, at the disposal of students and teachers of the University there are: a gym, sports open areas (arenas), a wrestling hall, an exercise therapy hall, an aerobics hall, a game room and swimming pools, three recovery centers.

The campus is equipped with three canteens, two medical centers, a library and a reading room.

Admission dates and extra charges

The academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn (September-December) and spring (January-June). At the end of each semester, an examination session is held. For students of the university there are winter (January) and summer (June-August) holidays.

The cost of the hostel varies from 520 to 630 rubles per month per place, depending on the season and month of residence.

In UralSUFK, the opening of the admission committee is carried out in the 20th of June and lasts 1-2 months. Each candidate for a place must provide:

  • Documents confirming the presence of individual achievements;
  • Application for admission to the university;

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

  • Completed education: secondary specialized or secondary general;
  • Good physical fitness;
  • Successful completion of an interview, entrance tests or the Unified State Exam (including for citizens of foreign countries).

A big plus for the applicant will be the availability of documents confirming the presence of sports achievements, conducting scientific activities and participating in Olympiads.

Entrance tests conducted by the University independently are held in writing in Russian language and in the form of passing an exam in one of the areas of sports: basketball, volleyball, football, etc.
