The Institute was founded in 1929 in the city of Yekaterinburg: it is the only educational institution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Asian part of Russia.

The educational process takes place on the basis of 4 educational campuses, equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars.   • Passing the physical fitness test with at least 30 points,
  • Points received for the exam are not lower than:
    • Mathematics — 27,
    • Physics — 36,
    • chemistry — 36,
    • Russian language — 36,
    • History — 32.

For admission to master's programs, you must:

  • Completed higher education,
  • Successful passing of the entrance examinations of the university with scores not lower than the threshold set by the Institute itself.

For admission to postgraduate programs, you must:

  • Completed higher education,
  • Successful completion of entrance examinations with scores not lower than the threshold set by the institute itself:
    • Special discipline,
    • Foreign language.
