The University of Limoges appeared in 1968 at the merger of several universities of Limoges, of which the oldest existed since the 17th century. Currently, Universite de Limoges is one of the best and innovative universities - it was he who was chosen by the famous football players Zinedine Zidane and Laurent Blanc for studying management and economics in the field of sports.

Studies are conducted in all studied areas, and the discoveries made at the university are in demand in specific industries. Developed by university scientists, the MEMS electromechanical microsystems operate on space shuttles. The discoveries of Limoges scientists are introduced by partners: the Center for Biological Health, Technology Transfer Centers, the European Center for Ceramics, and the Technopol Innovation Park.
