Universitatis Sherbrookensis (UdeS)

Université de Sherbrooke is a unique type of public higher education institution with a double name, which is common for bilingual Canada. The second name of this institution sounds like Universitatis Sherbrookensis (UdeS). The first students began to study at the University of Sherbrooke in 1954. The main university buildings are located in the city of Quebec.

The R1–R2 family medicine residency combines flexible training, the development of clinical independence, a variety of internship settings, and personalized support. In the clinicien érudit program, clinical practice accounts for no more than 20% of working time, while at least 80% is devoted to research or scholarly work.

The university launched a research chair in family medicine practice with a CAD 1.25 million donation from FMOQ. An additional CAD 750,000 contribution from Fonds FMOQ will support the development of a center of expertise, a data collection platform, and tools for primary care organizations.
