Description of Universidad de la Habana (UH)
The oldest institution of higher education in Cuba is the University of Havana. Universidad de la Habana (UH) is a public institution that has operated since 1728. In its country, the University of Havana is a recognized leader, as it is in the first place among the best national institutions.

The main campus of the institution is located in Havana. Universidad de la Habana includes its own student library, a comfortable hostel for foreign students, a sports complex, playgrounds, 14 research centers in various fields, including economics, science, social sciences and humanities.
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
There are no gender restrictions when entering university. Both local residents and foreigners can apply for admission. The University of Havana conducts education in approximately 25 specialties. In total there are 16 faculties:

The academic year consists of semesters here. In total there are about 14,000 students. The teaching staff includes approximately 1,700 teachers. The share of foreign citizens is about 6%. Distance learning centers are located throughout Cuba.
