Description UCAM - Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia

In 1996, the Catholic University of St. Anthony (UCAM) was founded in the Spanish region of Murcia. The educational institution was created on the basis of the Apostolic Constitution of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, which was read by Pope John Paul II, and still adheres to its principles.

Murcia is the center of the autonomous region in the southeast of the country and recently actively develop:

  • New large shopping and entertainment centers;
  • The transport system (including new metro lines);
  • New large international airport;
  • The city infrastructure was modernized.

The climate here is warm, which makes the city and province the largest supplier and producer of vegetables, fruits and flowers - many national and European organizations deal with this region. Murcia is the seventh most populous city in the country, favorable and convenient for living.

The Catholic University of St. Anthony actively practices a personal approach: it forms small classes for instruction, adapts each studying course for personal needs and demands of modern society, and each student receives a personal curator-tutor who helps  in solution of academic issues, gives valuable advice and recommendations.

The UCAM curriculum is aimed at fostering full-fledged, harmoniously developed individuals who can benefit the international community and work for its benefit. A big plus for students is compulsory internship and field work: the university cooperates with a large number of private and public organizations, supports more than 50 research groups that have partnership agreements with the world's largest companies (Coca-Cola, Danone, Vodafone and Siemens). In the process of studying, students not only receive theoretical knowledge in the classes, but also work in multifunctional modern laboratories, create research projects (group and personal). The university offers effective educational programs for a bachelor's and master's degree - only about 50 directions and specializations.
