Summer English Course

The seasonal program is aimed at students with any level of English proficiency who want to improve their language skills and explore the world-famous sights of London, Oxford and Windsor. Students can expect an intensive two-week curriculum guaranteed to include:

  • 40 lessons (30 hours) of classes focused on improving reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, expanding vocabulary,
  • Four full-day excursions around London with visits to some free museums,
  • One walking tour of Windsor (for several hours),
  • A walk through High Wycombe.

The course offers flexibility in many aspects: students can choose a weekly course if they wish, and add several full-day trips to Oxford and London to the already included excursions.

Students are accommodated in comfortable residences and provided with three meals a day, and are in an atmosphere of comprehensive 24/7 support from qualified language center staff.

Summer Centre Windsor — a summer centre offering an English language learning program for students aged 10 to 18. The curriculum provides pupils with not only high-quality language training but also a wide range of entertainment, cultural events and excursions.

Seasonal study is organised on the High Wycombe Campus campus belonging to Buckinghamshire New University: a safe, comfortable and diverse learning area provides students with conditions for effective language education, accommodation and development of their talents. Thanks to the proximity of the campus to large cities (Windsor and London), the extracurricular program is full of off-site events during which pupils will visit historical and world-famous sights.

The summer course offers flexibility in choosing services that will be included, and start dates. 

Accommodation, meals, prices

Pupils are accommodated in the buildings of the Buckinghamshire New University residence, separate for boys and girls. Each building is supervised by a warden who ensures comfort and safety. Students occupy single and double rooms with private bathrooms and share common areas: recreation zones, laundry facilities, games and academic classrooms.

Every day students visit the large dining hall, where they are offered a choice of several main courses, numerous desserts, fruits and drinks. The meal plan includes three meals a day and can be adapted to individual student needs.

The summer program includes a wide range of leisure activities organized both on and off campus. Almost every day, pupils can expect interactive games, sports training, creative workshops, themed parties, and talent shows.

Depending on the chosen service package, the number of excursions will vary. The basic (bronze) package includes four full-day excursions around London and visits to some free museums, one half-day walking tour of Windsor, and a walk around High Wycombe. Other packages include these same excursions plus several additional ones:

  • Silver: visiting the London Eye and Madame Tussauds Museum, a boat trip on the Thames,
  • Gold: day trips to Oxford and Windsor, a walking tour of High Wycombe, visiting the London Eye, Madame Tussauds Museum, a boat trip on the Thames,
  • Platinum: a day trip to Oxford, half-day excursions to Windsor, Hellfire Caves, Windsor Castle, a walk around High Wycombe, visiting the London Eye, Madame Tussauds Museum, and a boat trip on the Thames.

Admission dates and extra charges

The program takes place in July-August, and the duration of study is two weeks. The weekly schedule includes days with classes and evening entertainment on campus, separate days for excursions to the sights of London, Oxford, Windsor.

The course fee already includes:

  • Accommodation, meals in full board format,
  • Full academic plan for two weeks,
  • A test to determine the level of knowledge, providing a more personalized learning experience,
  • Social events on campus,
  • A certain number of excursions according to the selected package,
  • Certificate confirming completion of the course.

Additional expenses will be required for payment of additional excursions, medical insurance, personal expenses.

Those wishing to attend the summer program fill out a registration form and provide documents, after which employees of the language camp conduct an online interview with English testing, inform future students about the dates of study, duration and content of the curriculum.

Upon completion of the summer course, each graduate receives a personalized certificate confirming their language progress and acquired knowledge.
