St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) is a private liberal arts college named after the philosopher and theologian Thomas (Thomas) Aquinas. The institution was founded in 1952. At the moment, STAC offers more than 100 specialties on the basis of three schools:

Accommodation, meals, prices

College students have the opportunity to choose one of the proposed places for housing on campus.

  • McNelis Commons is a complex across the street from the academic buildings. It has several dozen double rooms in the style of luxury, a dining room, a laundry room. This hostel is most often chosen by freshmen.
  • The Village Aquinas are townhouses with rooms for 1-4 students. At the disposal of residents there are common living rooms, self-study classes. Most of the residents study at STAC in their senior years.

The college also offers several options for special housing: only for men or women, buildings for people with disabilities, as well as assistance in finding a neighbor.

Semester price for accommodation per person:

  • Room for 3-4 persons – 3960$
  • Double room – 4400$
  • Single room – 4650$.

Upon entry, a deposit is paid in case of damage - $ 225.

The dining room dining rooms at McNelis Commons and the Spartan Grille at the Alumni Centre offer meals in the form of buffet meals, semester plans or one-off meal sets.

All students residing on campus must purchase a meal plan. Their options with the number of dishes, the price per semester:

  • A: 75 meals, $300 extra – $1950
  • B: 200 meals, 200$ extra – 2990$
  • From: unlimited meals, $ 150 for spending - $ 3490.

Additional dollars can be spent at canteens, cafeterias, or vending machines on campus.

Activities St. Thomas Aquinas College

STAC provides students with the opportunity to participate in athletics at the Division II level. 20 men's and women's NCAA DII teams train at their home stadium in New York City. Bowling, cheerleading, dancing, hockey, and team games clubs allow students to try their hand at intercollegiate competitions. Some club sports train at the same facilities as Division II teams. participate in local and regional tournaments.

More than 40 student clubs are divided by interests: educational, environmental, scientific, sports, legal, religious. Creative students are in music, dance circles or engaged in fine arts. Most of the participants take part in the organization of many events on campus: festivals, theme parties, graduation balls, etc.

Admission dates and extra charges

There are several semesters in the academic year:

  • Autumn: September-December
  • Spring: January-May.

Holidays are held in December and June. Sessions await students at the end of each semester.

For admission to STAC programs, all applicants will need to provide:

  • Completed application on the official website of the institution or in the admissions office on campus

  • Official transcripts of completed disciplines
  • SAT or ACT Results
  • TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo test results
  • Letters of recommendation (one or three) from the teacher from the previous place of study
  • Personal documents: passport/passport, student visa, health insurance, Form I-20, etc.

The admissions committee considers applications all year round, admission is conducted for the semester closest to the date of acceptance of the application.
