St. Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSEU) is one of the largest educational and scientific centers in Russia, one of the leading universities in St. Petersburg. The university appeared through the merger of two major universities: Engineering and Economics (INZHEKON) and the University of Service and Economics (GUSE), enlarged by the merger of the Financial Academy, the Moscow Institute of Finance and Economics.

SPbSEU survived the evacuation during the Great Patriotic War, resuming its work in 1944. Since then, the university has taken new heights in the educational direction, improving programs for specialists in the fields of economics, management, tourism.

Now the university has 8 faculties and 6 institutes.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students of SPbSEU live in 9 dormitories, most of which are located in the center of St. Petersburg. Residential buildings can accommodate 300-500 people. The hostel-hotel is located next to the metro station "Nevsky Prospekt". The building is equipped with 65 rooms of varying degrees of comfort: "economy", "comfort".

The cost of living ranges from 900 to 1600 rubles per month, depending on the number of people living in the room, utilities.

For daily meals for students in the educational building is equipped with a dining room, a buffet.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Students enrolled in grades 9-11 have the opportunity to take preparatory courses of the university before admission.

Documents required for admission to bachelor's and specialist degree:

  • Application to the Admission Committee
  • Certificate of secondary education
  • Passport of the Russian Federation, SNILS
  • Individual achievements (if any)
  • Results of the Exam.

For admission to the magistracy and postgraduate studies it is necessary to provide:

  • Application to the Admission Committee
  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree – for postgraduate students), transcripts of the studied disciplines
  • Passport of the Russian Federation, SNILS
  • Individual achievements, publications, etc.
  • Interview results.

Documents are accepted from June 18 to August 2.

Each applicant undergoes a medical examination and entrance tests in the leading disciplines of the selected program.
