SPbGIK is one of the oldest and largest universities of culture in Russia. It was in this institute that many specialties and areas of education arose, which are currently in demand throughout the country. SPbGIK is a center for the development of promising forms of scientific creativity, actively using the results of research activities in the educational process, as well as in the implementation of international and all-Russian projects.

The scientific activity of the Institute consists in:

  • education of highly qualified personnel (postgraduate, doctoral, assistant-internship);
  • participation in annual all-Russian scientific, practical and international conferences;
  • publication activity (to date, 630 articles have been published in the journals of the Higher Attestation Commission, 1605 articles in the journals of the RsCI, 40 monographs, 105 publications on international electronic platforms and 865 other publications).

The Institute also publishes periodical scientific publications, which include collections of conference materials and scientific journals of SPbGIK.

There are 2 dormitories in SPbGIK. Meals for students and employees of the Institute are organized in the educational buildings.

  • two photographs (for applicants based on the results of internal entrance tests).

To date, more than 7,000 students study at SPbGIK, of which about 400 are foreign students.

Perspectives

According to information for 2020, out of 630 graduates of SPbGIK, 550 people were employed.

Current vacancies are published on the official website of the Institute. In addition, the Career Guidance and Employment Center assists students and graduates in finding a job.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Applicants with secondary general, secondary vocational or higher education, confirmed by the relevant document, are allowed to master the programs.

Admission is held on a competitive basis based on the results of the Unified State Exam and (or) on the basis of the results of entrance examinations conducted by the Institute independently.
