The university was founded in 1956 in the city of Novosibirsk. At the moment, SibUPK is the only university of consumer cooperatives in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East.

The education process takes place on the basis of 5 buildings, equipped with classrooms for practical and laboratory, lectures and seminars. Classrooms are equipped with new modern technology: projectors, screens, computers, electronic whiteboards and laboratory equipment.

Students are given free access to the library system with a reading room for 380 people. 

For sports, the university has a sports unit, a sports hall and a stadium.

Admission dates and extra charges

At SibUPK, the learning process is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).
