Summer Course: Sustainability Development Goals Programme

Pupils of this adventure course will spend a week sailing on the schooner Cervantes Saavedra through the waters of the Mediterranean: they will learn aspects of marine biology, tie nautical knots, learn how to handle sails and how to use nautical charts. Children will also enjoy water sports, sailing and a lot of swimming. All activities and extracurricular activities are organized in the environment, where social skills and leadership qualities will be developed.
In addition to these exciting activities, participants can optionally obtain an official diving qualification or take an underwater photography course with prestigious National Geographic marine biologist and explorer Manuel San FΓ©lix.
The boat on which the journey takes place is almost 50 meters long, accommodates 30 passengers and has 20 cabins equipped with all amenities, air conditioning and a private bathroom.
Summer Course: Formentera and Madrid

This program brings together two extraordinary places: Madrid and Formentera, giving students unforgettable emotions and a unique experience.
For the first few days, the participants will have a week-long cruise on the schooner Cervantes Saavedra on the waters of Formentera. The boat is almost 50 meters long and accommodates 30 passengers and offers cabins with all amenities, air conditioning and a private bathroom.
Under the guidance of experienced sailors and diving teachers, students will learn marine biology, the basics of water safety and gain skills in tying knots, sailing and using navigational charts.
As soon as the Mediterranean adventure is over, students will move to Madrid, to the SEK El Castillo school, which will offer them a beautiful 40,000 sqm campus with state-of-the-art learning facilities and extensive sports facilities. There, students will work on developing academic, personal skills while playing their favorite sports in their free time.

Formentera – Tall-Ship Camp is a unique chance to spend your summer vacation on a big ship in the Mediterranean! An exciting adventure will provide students with the opportunity to study marine biology, learn how to sail a yacht, tie special knots and, of course, get unforgettable emotions from their vacation.
All courses are held on the 50-metre schooner Cervantes Saavedra under the guidance of experienced professionals, teachers and staff. Children are always safe thanks to the round-the-clock supervision and assistance provided by the camp staff. At the end of the sea voyage, students will arrive in Madrid, the capital of Spain, and will be accommodated on a comfortable SEK El Castillo campus.
The programs include not only educational lessons, but also a lot of entertainment that will allow students to enjoy their vacation, gain new experience and knowledge.
Educational process
The daily schedule of students includes a certain time to attend lectures, participate in group events, rest, and visit the canteen. Observing a clearly established schedule, children are not overloaded, they have time to rest.
Accommodation, meals, prices
During the sea voyage, students will live in 20 cabins, each of which is designed for two people, has a bathroom, air conditioning. The ship has all the necessary amenities, including a dining room that provides students with three meals a day.
At the end of their training on the water, students will arrive in Madrid, accommodated in the residence of the SEK El Castillo school, which offers comfortable rooms, private and shared bathrooms, recreation areas and other modern infrastructure for living, learning and all-round development.
Activities SEK Formentera β Tall-Ship Summer Camp
The basis of the Formentera – Tall-Ship Camp courses are water activities, thematic lectures from professional sailors and biologists. In their free time, students will be able to indulge in their favorite hobby in the cabins or on deck, try their hand at diving and other sports possible on the ship and at sea.
Upon arrival at the SEK El Castillo campus, the daily schedule of students will change: after classes, they will visit the gym, play on the sports fields, spend time together in evening group activities.
