School No. 1359 named after aircraft designer M.L. Mile

This educational institution was opened in 1993, after two decades it received accreditation to teach foreign languages in depth. In 2015, during the reorganization-merger, several schools and kindergartens were included in the structure. At present, secondary school №1359 is included in the ratings of the best among secondary schools in Moscow and the region.

Meals in preschool and school departments are organized according to a cyclical menu in two types: paid and discounted. Pupils can eat twice a day: breakfast and lunch, as well as use the buffet service at any break. Parallels of classes and preschool groups visit the dining room on a common schedule at individual times.

The dining room is open from 9:00 to 16:00.

The school №1359 includes 12 buildings: kindergartens and schools. All buildings of the school department are equipped with classrooms and laboratories for the practice of natural science subjects, sports and assembly halls, computer classes and premises for additional education, libraries. Some buildings have rooms for the school museum, astronomy rooms, and a school television studio.

For preschoolers, kindergarten buildings are equipped with sleeping and play rooms, classrooms, and sports halls.

On the school grounds of each building there is a stadium for games of football, volleyball, basketball, physical education and sports events. There are walking and playgrounds in the courtyards of the preschool department buildings.

Education at school №1359 is organized in terms of terms and semesters in a modular mode.

Trimesters in grades 1-9:

• September 1-November 20
• November 23-February 20
• March 1 - May 21/28.

In each trimester, there are two modules, after the end of which verification and control works follow.

Semesters for grades 10-11, containing three modules:

• January 18 - May 21/28.

School graduates - students in grades 9 and 11 graduate after passing the OGE and the Unified State Exam.

Training camps for junior high school students are held for five days in the fall or spring.

• May 22/29 - August 31.

Classes are held in the mode of a five-day academic week with the sixth day allocated for visiting circles and sections. The duration of the lesson is 35-45 minutes, depending on the class. The elementary school extended day group teaches children from 12:20 to 18:20.

The preschool department is open from 7:00 to 19:00.
