SSK named after L.V. Sobinov was founded in 1912. The Saratov Conservatory educates professionals in the field of performing and acting, musicology and composition.

L.V. Sobinov provides 3 dormitories with 223 rooms for 498 beds. The cost of living consists of fees for the use of living quarters and utility bills, is up to 1250 rubles for students and 3600 rubles per month for graduate students.

The learning process of the SSC named after L.V. Sobinov is carried out in the Educational Building and in the Theater Institute, equipped with classrooms for classes and halls.
