Primary Years: Grades 5-6

Students in grades 5-6 study a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, English and Japanese, science, and art. Instruction takes place in small classes of 15 students (on average), allowing educators to give individual attention to each student. Teaching is conducted in Japanese and English in groups of different levels, so students gradually immerse themselves in the study of both.
Secondary Years: Grades 7-9

- The term of study is three years.
Students in grades 7-9 focus on the same wide range of subjects as in the previous stage of schooling, already choosing the subjects they like the most to prepare for IGCSE. At Rikkyo School, the basis of the curriculum is natural sciences, so biology, physics and chemistry become mandatory to study. Much attention is paid to music and sports education, the study of English and Japanese.
High School, High School
- Age – from 17 years old,
- The term of study is two years.
In the last two years of study, students prepare for final exams, admission to the university. Under the guidance of subject teachers and personal mentors, students study science, mathematics, languages, arts and sports disciplines, comprehensively enriching their academic experience.
Pupils take classes in critical thinking, history and literature taught by British students as elective subjects, and in their final year they can choose to take additional IELTS classes for four hours per week. Such elective courses will be recognised as academic credits required for a final diploma, but will also serve as preparatory steps for admission to UK universities.
