The educational organization was established in 2000 in the city of Protvino.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes, educational and pre-diploma practice.

Students of the branch are actively engaged in research activities - in 2022 the following works were performed:

• The influence of physics on the development of modern medicine,
• Transliteration as the most productive way of translating urbanonyms into English (on the example of translating urbanonyms in Moscow),
• Modern trends in the design of urban space (on the example of Lenin in the city of Serpukhov),
• Problems in the production and consumption of energy,
• Color psychology and color associations related to distance and full-time learning,
• Investigation of the kinetics of the interaction of components of composite materials in mixers with a rocker mechanism,
• Amazing visual illusions,
• Sources of formation of "covid" vocabulary in Russian language,
• Development of a client-server application for text messaging,
• Predicting the outcome of sports matches using machine learning,
• Program for the analysis of indicators of the environmental situation of the urban district,
• The process of reflection of the surrounding reality in the vocabulary of the English language,
• The use of information and communication technologies in education,
• On the functioning of the article in English engineering texts.

University "Dubna" is in the top 10% of the world's best universities.

The university provides two dormitories for nonresident full-time students.

For meals for students and staff, the university has a canteen for 392 seats.

To involve students in social and scientific activities, the university organizes and takes part in the following events:

The educational process takes place in two buildings equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology: projectors, screens and computers. 

Students are given free access to the library with a reading room.

For sports, the branch provides a gym and a gym.

In the branch, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each of them, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).
