Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy (PGFA) is a higher educational institution of pharmaceutical profile. The university was established in 1918 as a department within the Perm Classical University, then as a faculty of the Perm Medical Institute. PGFA became an independent institution only in 1936, and received its current name in 2005.
Training takes place on the basis of 21 departments, where bachelors, specialists, candidates of science, graduate students study. Five faculties have been established in the Academy:

The teaching staff is represented by more than 140 candidates of sciences and associate professors, 30 doctors of science and professors, as well as members of international associations, honored health workers of the Russian Federation.

The Academy accommodates students in two dormitories of apartment and corridor types. First of all, full-time students, foreigners and visitors from other cities of Russia are settled. Admission dates and extra charges
The duration, start and end dates of the school year depend on the form of study. Full-time programs last from September to early June, correspondence - from October. The program of preparation for admission lasts two years, the course "Russian as a foreign language" - up to a year.
The academic year consists of two semesters and two examination sessions. Full-time classes are held from Monday to Friday, sometimes on Saturday.
