Perm State National Research University (PSUU) is the first university in the Urals, one of the leading research universities in Russia. The university is under the leadership of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The institution was created out of the need for higher education in the Urals. The idea of opening the university was supported by such historical figures as D.I. Mendeleev, D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak, A.S. Popov.
Now PSUU consists of 12 faculties in the following specialties:

Admission dates and extra charges
The university is open from Monday to Friday. It is possible to study at PSUU in full-time, part-time or correspondence form. Most programs are taught in Russian language, some can be completed in English. Classes begin at 8:30 and last until 17-18 hours, between couples there are breaks for rest, visiting the dining room.
There are two semesters in the academic year, each followed by an examination session.
