The Shukhov school (then still gymnasium No. 38) was founded in 1980, in 2004 it received a lyceum title. Since 2010, this educational institution has been participating in the ranking of the best schools in Russia.

The lyceum teaches children annually from September 2 to May 25/30, depending on the class. Lyceum students study in the mode of five school days in the first shift, lessons begin at 8:30, each lasts 45 minutes (for the first grades - 35-40 minutes).
