The educational institution was founded in 1967 in the city of Rostov-on-Don.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes, educational and pre-diploma practice.

The educational process is organized in the following departments:

• General scientific training,
• Informatics and Computer Engineering,
• Infocommunication technologies and communication systems,
• Information security.

The university conducts research activities, which include consideration of the following topics:

• Systems and hardware and software for receiving and processing radio signals,
• Transmitting complexes of radio communication and television and radio broadcasting systems,

• Problems of creation and implementation of next-generation telecommunication network technologies,
• Electrodynamics of fields and emitters in communication and broadcasting systems, propagation, radio waves; advanced technologies and designs of antenna devices and microwave lines
• Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and software complexes,
• Improving the efficiency of economic management and product quality in the Svyaz industry; marketing and management in information and communication technologies,
• Medical and biological aspects of the development and application of electrosurgical equipment,
• Bioinformatics.

For meals for students and staff, the university has a buffet for 32 seats.

The educational process takes place on the basis of three educational buildings equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory work. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology: projectors, screens, laptops and TVs.

Students are given free access to the library with a reading room.

For sports, the branch has a gym.

At MTUCI SCF, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each of them, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:

  • Russian language — 36.
