Moscow Psychological and Social University was founded in 1995. The university is a non-state educational institution, the basis of which is based on the standards and traditions of classical Russian education. Every year, the university provides about 70 state-funded places in the areas of study "Psychology" and "Special (defectological) education". Graduates of the university receive a state diploma.
Since 2019, MPSU has been cooperating with Lundong University (China).

- Foreign language – 30/30 points;
- Social Studies – 45/45 points;
- Informatics and ICT – 45/45 points;
- History – 35/35 points.
The minimum cost is in the areas of "Jurisprudence", "Special (defectological) education" and "Customs" (for part-time education).

The MPSU provides a system of material support for students. In total, students at the university can count on three types of scholarships:
- State academic scholarship (2,237.50 rubles per month);
- State increased academic scholarship;
- State social scholarship (2 500,00 rubles per month).
During the educational process, students can take part in research conferences and competitions, according to the results of which they can count on receiving grants to pay for one year of study.
