The Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence (MIJ) is a higher professional educational institution, on the basis of which highly qualified and competitive personnel of legal profile, state and municipal administration, customs service, document experts and tourism specialists are educated.

Faculties and colleges

On the basis of the Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence there are 7 basic departments cooperating with state and budgetary organizations:

  • Department of Financial Law;
  • Department of Economics, Management and Customs;
  • Department of Legal Regulation of Foreign Economic Activity;

On the basis of the MiU, educational processes are held annually to improve the qualifications of teachers and professional education  of personnel.

Scientific achievements

On the basis of the MiU, a scientific and practical conference "Student Science" is held annually on various topical issues affecting modern problems of society:

Things to know about

The Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence actively conducts educational activities of students. Every year patriotic events are held among students. The administration of the university regularly conducts lectures on combating corruption in the Russian Federation and terrorism in the country.

Within the framework of international cooperation, the administration of the university is negotiating the signing of a partnership agreement with the Kyrgyz-Kazakh University.

Accommodation, meals, prices

To accommodate nonresident students, the Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence concluded an agreement with LLC "Unified Placement Center" - a group of companies "Labor Alliance". This organization owns several hostels located both in the city itself and in the Moscow region.

Residential buildings are located near metro stations, ground and railway transport stops. 

According to the concluded agreement, students of the institute are provided with about 150 places in 10-15 rooms. A referral for living in a hostel is issued to the student upon admission, in the admission committee.

Activities Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence, MIU

During the existence of the MIJ, intra-university traditions have developed, which are held annually in honor of various holidays: "Day of Knowledge", "New Year", "Valentine's Day", "Student's Day", "March 8", "Presentation of Diplomas" and other events.

Every year, excursions, trips to theaters and museums of the city are held for students of the institute.

Students of the university can attend various sections in team sports, the teams of which constantly take prizes and receive awards in district, city inter-university competitions.

Facilities and equipment at Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence, MIU

  • The legal address of the Moscow Institute of Jurisprudence: Moscow, 2nd Sinichkina St., 9A. In this building is the administration of the institute and the reception of documents for admission is carried out.
  • The main educational building of the Ministry of Education and Science is located at the address: Moscow, 14th Parkovaya Street, 6. The building is located near the metro station "Pervomayskaya" in an accessible area of the city for students. 
  • An additional educational building of the Institute is the building located at the address: Moscow, Majorov lane, 14.

In total, the total area of the premises used by the institute for educational activities is more than 2500 sq.m.

Educational buildings are equipped with bright classrooms, laboratories, computer classes and administrative premises. All classrooms are equipped with educational furniture, visual and methodological manuals and stands. The classrooms are additionally equipped with modern multimedia projectors, interactive whiteboards, DVD players, TVs and video cameras.

Computer classes are equipped with modern stationary computers with licensed software and round-the-clock Internet access.

For students studying in the direction of "Jurisprudence", a modern education hall of court sessions is equipped.

Students of the MiU upon admission get access to the library of the university. Every year the database is replenished with modern literature, relevant scientific journals and articles.

The administration of the university cares not only about knowledge, but also about the physical fitness and health of its students: a modern sports hall is equipped, where physical education classes are held.

Between the Institute and the State Budgetary Institution of Healthcare of the City of Moscow "City Polyclinic No. 175 of the Department of Health of the City of Moscow" a contract was concluded for the provision of medical services for the staff of the educational institution and students.  For more urgent provision of health services, the university provided its students with a medical center

On the territory of the main educational building of the MiU, students' meals are organized - a buffet and a dining room are equipped.

All material and technical conditions have been created in the buildings of the Institute to ensure unhindered access of students with disabilities and disabled people to classrooms, toilets and other premises.

Admission dates and extra charges

In the MIU, the educational process is carried out according to the semester system: each for 4-5 months, at the end a session is held.

Additional costs for the duration of education at the university are on average from 10,000-15,000 rubles. This amount includes: accommodation in a hostel, meals, transportation and other expenses.

Enrolment process

According to the established rules of the Ministry of Education, applicants must submit documents for admission to the university by the end of July to the admission committee. The list of established documents includes:

  • Application for admission to the MIJ;
  • Certificate of secondary general education or diploma of vocational education (original or copy);
  • Original or photocopy of identity and citizenship documents;
  • 2-4 photos with a size of 3×4 (if you pass internal entrance exams and when enrolling);
  • Original or photocopy of documents confirming the presence of individual achievements;
  • Medical certificate in the form 086-U or 026-U for admission to specialties and areas of education requiring a preliminary medical examination;
  • Documents confirming the right to benefits;
  • SNILS;
  • Registration certificate or military ID (for conscripts);
  • Materials of entrance tests (results of the Unified State Exam or internal written testing).

For the convenience of nonresident applicants, you can submit documents to the admissions committee by e-mail. Entrance tests can also be taken remotely.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

When accepting documents from those wishing to enter the MIJ, the following requirements are put forward:

  • Completed secondary general (11 grades), secondary vocational or higher education;
  • Successful completion of entrance examinations or testing (including for foreign citizens);
  • Results of the Unified State Exam. Grades obtained as a result of passing the Exam are counted if they were received no earlier than 4 years before the date of completion of the receipt of documents.

The minimum number of points on the unified state exam:

  • Russian language – 40 points;
  • Mathematics – 39 points;
  • History – 35 points;
  • Foreign language – 30 points;
  • Social Studies – 45 points;
  • Informatics and ICT – 44 points.

Entrance tests of the MIJ are conducted in writing (testing) and in Russian language.
