Moscow Branch of the Russian International Academy of Tourism

The branch was organized in 1998 in Moscow.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes, educational and pre-diploma practice.

The educational process is based on the following departments:

• Hospitality Management and Food Technology;
• Management, Information Technology and International Tourism;
• Design of the architectural environment;
• Foreign languages and humanities;
• College of Hotel Service;
• Additional educational programs.

The branch conducts research work in the following areas:

• Economics and management of the national economy (by industries and spheres of activity, including: economics, organization and management of enterprises, industries, complexes; marketing; management; recreation and tourism);
• Technology of food products and consumer goods;
• Theory and methodology of vocational education;
• Construction and architecture.

The Academy has developed its own model of professional tourism education, which was subsequently approved by the International Conference in the Federation Council Commission on Youth Affairs and Tourism in 2010.

For nonresident full-time students, the university provides a comfortable dormitory in the suburbs of Moscow.

For meals for students and staff, the university has a canteen and a buffet for 65 seats.

To involve students in social and scientific activities, the university organizes and takes part in the following events:

• Table tennis tournament "Sport is the norm of life";
• Presentation of student projects "STARTUP RMAT-2023";
• Open Student Championship of National Cuisine "Junior Battle of Cooks";
• International Forum "Tourism and Education";
• Educational exhibition "The Right Choice";
• Moscow International Education and Career Exhibition;
• IX Interuniversity Scientific and Practical Conference "Trends in the Development of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry in the Russian Federation".

The education process is carried out on the basis of a single building, equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology: projectors, screens and computers.

The university provides students with free access to the university library with a reading room.

For sports activities the university has 3 gyms.

In the branch, the learning process is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).

For admission to the RMAT branch, you must provide:

• Identity card, citizenship;
• State-recognized certificate of education and qualifications;
• Proof of use of the right to admission within a special quota;
• Confirmation of individual achievements, the results of which are taken into account when admitting;
• Confirmation of registration in the system of individual (personalized) accounting (if any);
• SNILS (if any).

The necessary package of documents is provided to the university:

• By mail;
• In person to the admissions office;
• Through EPGU.

In 2023, 235 state-funded places were allocated for the bachelor's degree of the RMAT branch in Moscow.

After graduating from the Moscow branch of the RMAT, graduates become qualified specialists in the field of hotel business. To simplify the job search, the university has a Career Center.

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:

• Completed education is not lower than secondary general;
• Points received for the exam are not lower than:
  • Mathematics — 27;
  • Informatics and ICT — 40;
  • Russian language — 36;
  • Social Studies — 42;
  • History — 32;
  • Biology — 36;
  • Foreign language — 22;
  • Geography — 37.

As material support for students, the university allocates the following types of scholarships for students:
