Lyceum №22 "Hope of Siberia" - the oldest educational institution in Novosibirsk, which began work in 1903. During this period, thousands of graduates were brought up who adequately represented Siberia in science, art, politics, sports, at the Russian and international levels. In the 1990s, school development programs were developed aimed at creating wide opportunities for students to choose an educational trajectory, developing a high degree of independence, and striving for self-improvement. The main directions of modernization of education are reflected in new programs and projects for the development of the lyceum: some of them have received the status of federal, regional, urban experimental sites.
The objectives of the course: the upbringing, development of students, their mastery of reading, writing, numeracy, basic skills of educational activity, elements of theoretical thinking, the simplest skills of self-control, a culture of behavior and speech, the basics of personal hygiene and a healthy lifestyle. Lyceum №22 participates in the project of specialized classes of the Novosibirsk region since 2012. Since the academic year 2017/2018, there are 5 classes in the Lyceum: engineering-biological, engineering-technological (mathematics, computer science, physics), natural sciences (chemistry, biology).
The educational institution has created a single space for engineering classes. The place was determined in accordance with the requirement and the need to expand the educational space: by almost 100 square meters. There were 2 study rooms of 40 square meters each with the most modern equipment, computer equipment, robotic capabilities, a workshop for a technology lesson with modern machines, and a laboratory room for installing large-sized equipment, additional ventilation requirements that do not require constant monitoring.
The school conducts active career guidance work, conducts a comprehensive identification and development of interests, inclinations, physical and psychological capabilities of adolescents, the formation of a responsible attitude to work, public property, teacher assistance to schoolchildren in acquiring skills necessary for performing various labour activities in the lyceum, production conditions , visiting universities, city enterprises, organizing meetings with representatives of different professions, introducing students to the most common new professions.
