MBOU Gymnasium №5 Korolev

The school was opened in 1976. Recently, renovation work has been actively carried out to improve the building and the school grounds.

Gymnasium №5 provides free hot meals (once a day):

• students from families whose income does not exceed the subsistence level in the Moscow region
• students who are in need of targeted social support (whose livelihoods are disrupted as a result of current circumstances and who cannot overcome these circumstances on their own or with the help of their families)
• students of the first grades.

Free hot meals (2 times a day) are provided:

• students from large families
• disabled children
• children with disabilities.

To provide a meal benefit, parents / legal representatives of a student must fill out an application addressed to the director of a general education institution and attach certificates proving that they belong to the benefit category.

Additional education in gymnasium No. 5 is presented in numerous circles and sections:

Natural science direction:

1. Circle of astronomy
2. Circle of studying mathematics "Young mathematician"
3. Foreign language learning circles (German, French).

Physical culture and sports direction:

1. Gymnasium drummer ensemble
2. Football, basketball, volleyball sections
3. Dance studio
4. Chess Club
5. Delivery of TRP norms
6. OFP.

• Socio-pedagogical direction: a circle of young traffic inspectors.
• Tourism and local lore direction: museum business.

Artistic direction:

Also, pupils of the school participate in the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in general subjects. The Olympiad is held during the academic year from September to May on time and includes four stages: school, municipal, regional and final.

Classrooms at the gymnasium are equipped with the necessary subjects for comfortable, safe and effective learning. In the school building there is a sports hall (+ changing rooms, 2 showers and a toilet), on the territory there are sports grounds for an elementary school, a sports ground with outdoor sports facilities, playgrounds for outdoor games and WORKOUT sports and development grounds . Also, on the territory of the gymnasium, a car city is equipped for conducting classes on the study of traffic rules. It is a paved area and paths equipped with removable road signs, traffic lights and markings. The gymnasium is equipped with ramps: there is an accessible environment for students with disabilities.

• 1st trimester: September 1 - November 29 (vacation: October 28 - November 4)
• 2nd trimester: December 2 - February 28 (vacation: December 30 - January 12)
• 3rd trimester: March 2 - May 22 (vacation: February 17 - February 23).

Lessons start at 8:00 am on the first shift and at 1:40 pm on the second. The number of lessons in the first shift does not exceed 8, the last one ends at 15:15. In the second shift, students study 5 lessons, classes end at 17:30.
