The Balashikha Lyceum was opened in 1949 and for more than 20 years has been a specialized school of the M.V. N.E.Bauman. For the high quality of training of graduates, the Lyceum was awarded the status of an educational and methodological Center for the preparation of applicants at the Moscow State Technical University. N.E.Bauman. The Lyceum has repeatedly become the winner of the competition "The Best School in Balashikha", as well as the winner of the regional competition "The Best School of the Moscow Region" in the category "Revival of Lyceum Traditions".
