Long Island University (LIU) is a private university with two academic territories in New York City, USA. More than 220 higher education programs are taught here at several scientific faculties.

Founded in 1926, LIU has an almost 100-year history of educational activities. Today, it has about 16,000 bachelors, masters and future doctors of sciences, some of them from foreign countries.

The American University follows current trends by offering students access to programs not only on one of its campuses, but also in a fully remote format. Regardless of the format of their studies, all students receive comprehensive support from qualified teaching staff and administrative staff, and achieve excellent results.

While studying in Brooklyn, students can live in one of the following buildings:

• Conolly Hall is a 16-storey residence offering accommodation in traditional rooms, semi-detached suites and apartments. In all cases, bathrooms, living rooms and kitchens will be shared,
• 490 Fulton is housing for undergraduates and undergraduates (over 21 years old). The building has fully furnished apartments with 4-5-6 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and private bathrooms.

The academic site of the Post Campus includes more residential buildings:

• Seven traditional residences: Suffolk Hall, Kings Hall, Nassau Hall, Queens Hall, Riggs Hall, Post Hall and Brookville Hall — offer single, double and triple rooms for single-sex accommodation, shared bathrooms on the floors.,

The institution has two campuses in different areas of New York: Brooklyn and Brookville.

The academic area, located in the central part of Brooklyn, covers a small area of 11 acres, and is recognized as one of the safest campuses in the country. There are several academic buildings, two residences, administrative offices and sports facilities: a fitness center, outdoor stadiums, and playgrounds for team sports. The Post Campus, located in Brookville, is located just 25 miles from Manhattan and occupies a huge landscaped area where several dozen academic buildings, residences, research centers, and administrative offices have been built.

Foreign applicants wishing to enroll in higher education programs at LIU must have a foreign passport, medical certificates, a visa or a US residence permit. During the enrollment process, they should provide:

• Official transcripts of all educational institutions completed by the candidate,
• Two letters of recommendation,
• The result of the TOEFL language test (from 75), IELTS (from 6), PTE Academic (from 50), Duolingo (from 100) or another recognized university,
• A resume with a description of the available experience, individual achievements and plans for studying.

Some programs may require special achievements, professional experience, or a portfolio.
