LCITiU (branch) of PKU was established on August 6, 1998. The Institute occupies a leading position in the education of highly qualified economic and technical personnel for the Lipetsk region, educates specialists in the automation of production processes for organizations in the region and the country. Today, LCIT&U (branch) of PKU is an expert and analytical platform of the regional Department of Agriculture.

The educational process includes:

• course of lectures and seminars,
• practical exercises,
• educational, industrial and pre-diploma internships.

The educational process is organized in the following departments:

• Food Production Technologies,
• Social and Economic Sciences,
• Natural and Technical Sciences.

There is a canteen for students and staff at the Institute.

The educational activities of LCITiU (branch) of PKU are carried out in one educational building. The building houses classrooms and laboratories for individual disciplines, classrooms are equipped with modern multimedia and computer equipment, laboratories are equipped with educational equipment for practicing professional skills.

Students have free access to the library with a reading room with 40 seats.

For sports, the branch has a gym.

The academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each exam, an exam session is held, after passing the exam, students are given a vacation (in winter in January, in summer in July and in August).
