King’s College School, The Bahamas — a private international school in the western part of Nassau, on the island of New Providence. It was launched by the Inspired Education group, which owns a network of private schools in Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean region. The opening of the Bahamas campus was announced in 2021, and the school welcomed its first students in August 2022. At launch, children from Reception to Year 7 studied here, after which the school began gradually opening senior years.

The school continues the line of King’s College Schools, founded in 1969. The Bahamas campus follows the British model of education, Cambridge International programmes, and a diploma programme for senior years. The new Nassau campus was inaugurated in 2023 with the participation of Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis — for the young school, this was an important public recognition at the national level.

In 2025, King’s Beach Lodge boarding house opened at Love Beach for students from Year 7 and above.

The King’s Beach Lodge boarding house is located on Love Beach on the island of New Providence. It is a separate seaside residence for students from Year 7 and above, situated outside the main school campus, so boarders’ life takes place in the coastal area with its own residential infrastructure.

King’s College Bahamas offers three accommodation formats.

• Full boarding is suitable for students who live in the residence permanently — on school days and weekends.
• Weekly boarding is designed for those who spend weekdays at school and return home on weekends.
• Flexible boarding allows students to stay in the residence for individual nights during the week. This option is convenient for families from Nassau, other Bahamian islands, Caribbean countries, and international students who need a personalised accommodation schedule.

Rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms and feature sleeping, study, and relaxation areas, as well as balconies with sea views.

Common areas include a student lounge, cafeteria, and gymnasium, as well as a panoramic terrace by the beach. The boarding house staff team oversees daily life and safety: they are with students around the clock, helping with daily routines, settling in, practical matters, and adherence to residence rules.

Meals for boarders are provided in the residence. For students not living in the boarding house, meals are not included in the tuition fee: they may bring their own food or purchase lunches at school.

Sports life is organized around campus facilities and includes various types of activities. Students can engage in football, swimming, tennis, padel, basketball, and athletics. The campus features a swimming pool, tennis courts, football fields, basketball and multi-purpose courts, and a martial arts hall. Sports activities help children stay active and teach them teamwork.

As for the creative side, it includes drama, music, dance, visual arts, and public speaking. The campus has dedicated studios for music, dance, and drama, as well as art rooms for different age groups: students participate in plays, concerts, school performances, and art projects. For younger children, creative activities begin with music, movement, sensory exercises, drawing, and working with materials.

School life is not limited to clubs: throughout the year there are sports days, an annual school fair, creative performances, and family events. Such events help new students integrate into the school environment more quickly, and allow parents to get acquainted with campus life beyond the classroom.

A special opportunity is the Inspired global exchange programme: students can travel to another school within the network for a period ranging from four weeks to one year, while their place at the Bahamian school is retained. Available destinations include Switzerland, Spain, Italy, England, Vietnam, South Africa, and New Zealand.

The main campus, The Bahamas, is located on Western Road in the western part of Nassau, on the island of New Providence. Its grounds cover approximately 4 hectares near the airport, with convenient transport links to the city. The campus includes academic buildings, sports courts, play areas, and open spaces for outdoor activities.

The academic buildings feature modern classrooms with digital equipment, science laboratories, a library, and studios for drama, dance, and music. Students can work on projects using technology, including virtual reality, laser cutters, and 3D printers. Dedicated spaces for art are provided for different age groups, along with a workshop with a kiln for ceramics.

Sports facilities are used both during and after school hours. The campus features a 25-meter swimming pool, tennis and padel courts, a full-size football pitch with 5G AstroTurf surface, two five-a-side pitches, a gym, a martial arts studio, and outdoor play areas. Covered and open dining areas and a café are available for students and staff.

The King’s Beach Lodge boarding house is located separately from the main campus — at Love Beach, next to the beach, reef, and Lake Cunningham: activities here are centered around the marine environment and nature, including diving, snorkeling, marine biology studies, environmental projects, and rowing.

The academic year at King's College Bahamas is divided into three trimesters: breaks are provided between trimesters, and the first and second trimesters have short mid-term breaks. The last day of each trimester is a short day.

Admission takes place in several stages.

• First, you need to fill out an application form and pay the registration fee. After that, the parents or guardian, together with the child, have an interview with the school principal.
• The next stage is the entrance assessment. For Pre-Reception and Reception, it takes the form of a meeting with the head of the early years stage; for other year groups, the school arranges testing and an interview appropriate to the child's age and chosen year of entry.
• The family then provides the two most recent school reports. If the school is prepared to accept the pupil, the parents receive an offer letter. To confirm the place, they need to sign the acceptance form and pay the enrollment fee, as well as a deposit, which will be credited towards the first term's fees.

The school prepares students for admission to universities in the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Among the universities where graduates are successfully admitted are Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the London School of Economics, University College London, Bocconi, and the University of Hong Kong.

There is a counseling program for graduates that includes individual meetings with advisors, assistance in choosing a country and field of study, selection of subjects in upper grades taking into account university requirements, and support at all stages of the application process — from compiling a list of universities and preparing motivation letters to submitting applications and preparing for interviews.

King’s College Bahamas accepts students of different ages — from kindergarten to high school: the requirements depend on the child's age, the chosen year of study, and the previous school.

Admission requires the two most recent school reports (transcripts). For Pre-Reception and Reception, the school assesses the child's readiness for the early stage: age, basic communication skills, independence, and the ability to work in a group. For Year 2 and above, a CAT4 assessment is provided — a diagnostic test for verbal, numerical, and spatial tasks.

This is a competitive scholarship for new students aged 13–18 who wish to study at one of the Inspired schools but cannot afford tuition without financial support. The scholarship can cover up to 100% of tuition and boarding costs. Candidates must demonstrate a high academic level, leadership qualities, and strong results in sports, creative or performing arts. For academic level, Inspired indicates a benchmark: grades A*–A, a score of 90% or a GPA of 3.7.

The selection process is multi-level. First, the candidate submits an application and supporting documents: school reports, academic achievements, results in sports or arts. Then they take an online test covering verbal, non-verbal, quantitative, and spatial reasoning. After that, interviews with the school principal may follow, along with evaluation of a sports or creative portfolio and a review of the family's financial situation. The application can be submitted by the family itself; nominations from teachers or community representatives are also accepted.
