Kaluga branch of the Russian State Agrarian University — Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K. A. Timiryazev

The branch was established in 1986, at the moment it is the only regional branch of the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes, educational and pre-diploma practice.

• Improving the operational and technical properties of machine and tractor units based on a modular aggregation system;
• Restoration of the operability of agricultural machinery;
• Agrotechnological properties of agricultural machinery;
• Stabilization of the trajectory of movement of power wheel modules during aggregation of technological machines in crop production;
• Improving the efficiency of agricultural work;
• Land management, cadastre and monitoring of lands of the Kaluga region;
• Development of theoretical and practical foundations for solving environmental problems of the agro-industrial complex and the territory of the Kaluga region;
• Comprehensive studies to study the effect of low-intensity laser radiation on milk production and treatment of cows with mastitis;
• Physiology of milk output in cows and study of milk excretion parameters in cows produced on a robotic installation.

The university provides a dormitory for nonresident full-time students.

For meals for students and staff, the university has one canteen for 145 seats.

The learning process takes place in one educational and laboratory building, equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory work. The classrooms are equipped with new technology: screens, projectors, laptops with Internet access and specialized laboratory equipment. 

Students are given free access to the educational library with a reading room for 50 seats.

For sports, the university has two sports halls.

In the branch, the learning process is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).
