The branch was established in 2012 in the city of Kaluga.

The learning process includes a course of lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory classes, educational and pre-diploma practice.

The educational process is organized at the following faculties:

• Psychology
• Design
• Management
• Economy
• Juridical.

The university conducts research activities in the following areas:

• The main problems in the field of design of the subject-spatial environment; deepening the understanding of the specifics of expressive means for various types of art and considering the design object from the point of view of conceptual and symbolic meaning,
• Organizational and managerial processes in the social, political, economic, cultural, educational and scientific spheres; legal framework for human resource management, analysis of current management problems,
• The main problems in the field of psychological and pedagogical research and technologies in education, consulting and business; development of the main directions in the implementation of psychological and pedagogical technologies in education, consulting and business; development of issues related to the application of socio-psychological training,
• Finance and modern problems of organization and functioning in the market economy of the financial system, as well as mastering the skills of practical work among students on the analysis of the mechanism of functioning of the financial market of Russia,
• Formation of the legislative framework for intersectoral relations of state law, in order to implement the tasks of state policy in Russia at the present stage,
• Formation of a legislative framework for intersectoral relations of civil, entrepreneurial, family, international private law, in order to implement the tasks of criminal policy in Russia at the present stage.
• Formation of the legislative framework for intersectoral relations of criminal law, in order to implement the tasks of criminal policy in Russia at the present stage.

The university publishes and publishes a student journal "Bulletin of the IHEI", in the creation of which the students themselves take part.

For meals for students and staff, the university has a buffet for 38 seats.

The education process takes place on the basis of one educational building, equipped with classrooms for lectures and seminars, practical and laboratory work. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology: projectors, screens, video cameras, voice recorders and computers.

The Institute provides unlimited access to the library with a reading room for 120 seats.

For sports, the branch has 2 gyms and a gym.

In the branch, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each of them, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).
