The Izhevsk branch of the RUC was established on December 10, 1996. Today, the branch is a large educational, scientific and methodological center for training highly qualified personnel for the system of consumer cooperation and foreign economic structures of enterprises in the region. The Izhevsk branch of the RUC has firmly won its place in the educational space of Udmurtia and nearby regions.

In the Izhevsk branch of the RUC, the academic year begins in the first half of September and is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. Classes are held according to the schedule of a six-day working week. The beginning of classes is in accordance with the schedule of study groups.
At the end of each semester, an examination session is held. Students are provided with vacation weekends: winter (January) and summer (July-August).
