The organizers of the DAAD scholarship program have calculated the number of foreign students in Germany, which has broken a record since last winter and reached almost 380,000 people - 3% more than a year ago.
The last time the record was set back in 2022, when there were about 114,700 foreign students in the country. The number of expat students in Germany has been growing steadily by 4-6% since 2010. The jump in stable growth is stipulated by the fact that it was during this period that the choice of English-language programs in the country's universities for undergraduates, and later for bachelors, increased. Today, these courses make up 10% of all programs, and international students account for about 13% of the total.
Countries from which most foreign students come: India, China, Turkey, Austria, Iran, Syria.
