Gymnasium No. 1583 was opened in 1968 under the name of Secondary Labour Polytechnic School No. 691. At the moment, the gymnasium named after K.A. Kerimov is a general education center that includes education for preschool children and primary, middle and high school students. According to the data of 2019, the educational institution participated in the ranking of the successful passing of the Unified State Exam, taking 2nd place in the Golovinsky District and 47th in the city.

Studying takes place from September 1 to May 20, which is 33-34 weeks, depending on the level of education. The academic year is divided into:
