The profile of the school is in-depth study of foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish).
Preschool education (1-7 years) - family visit groups, short-term and full-day stay. In family groups, children are accepted from the first days of life under the supervision of their parents.
Primary education (7-11 years old) consists of the study of basic subjects. From the first grade, a foreign language is introduced into the program. Students have the opportunity to study under the International Baccalaureate project, where lessons are conducted in a foreign language.
Adapted programs are organized for children with:
- Severe speech disorders
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Mental retardation.
Basic education (11-15 years old): basic subjects, preparatory classes for passing the OGE. From the 7th grade, studying in classrooms begins:

The adapted program is implemented for students with mental retardation.

The school was founded in 1936, and has existed in its current teaching format since about 1997. Gymnasium No. 1531 is the base in the Pilot Schools project, has the authorization of the International Baccalaureate (IB), annually participates in the rankings of the best educational institutions in Moscow. Since 2012, several schools and kindergartens have been attached to this institution, which has expanded the age range of students and areas of advanced education. Since 2017, the gymnasium has been named after S.K. Godovikova.
Accommodation, meals, prices
School students are provided with preferential and paid types of meals, they can receive meals by subscription or one-time. Some categories of students, pupils of the preschool department are provided with preferential (free) meals. The cost of paid meals depends on the academic group and the number of dishes. Payment for meals in the canteen and for the products of the buffet is made only by bank transfer using an electronic card of the "Pass and Meals" system.
Meals are prepared in accordance with a 12-day cyclical menu.

Gymnasium No. 1531 has six buildings. The buildings are equipped with:
- Study rooms

Studying camps for 10th grade boys are held from May 24 to May 28.
Classes are held from Monday to Friday, some Saturdays may also be academic.

The first grades are enrolled from December 15 to August 31. Applications are accepted on the mos.ru portal, followed by the submission of personal documents to the educational institution. Children living in the territory assigned to the school have an advantage in enrollment, the rest are enrolled subject to availability.
