Summer Course: Innovations, Young Entrepreneurs&Sustainability

The summer course, which is organized in the central region of Switzerland, offers students to immerse themselves in the basics and intricacies of in-demand areas: innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development. For 10 days, students will be under the guidance of experienced teachers, visiting:
- 18 hours of seminars and master classes,
- Seven excursions to the sights of central, western Switzerland,
- Lake Lucerne (for recreation).
Excursions are a great complement to academic studies, allowing you to acquire knowledge in a real working environment. During the trips, students will visit places such as the University of Zurich, the world's largest Google office, a startup incubator, the Swiss Museum of Transport, and many others that reveal the topics of the program.
During studying, students will learn about leading innovations in technology and science, attend seminars from experienced experts in these fields, and participate in group projects on renewable energy sources. The Global Swiss Academy Summer Camp (GSWISS Switzerland) is a summer school for students in grades 9, 10 and high school, offering an exciting program about innovation and entrepreneurship.
Switzerland is famous for its stable economy, high level of scientific and entrepreneurial activity, and ranks first in the Global Innovation Index. The country is famous all over the world for its high-quality production of chocolate and watches, but these are not its only key industries – banking and finance are also quite remarkable. Every year, Switzerland attracts thousands of tourists with its unique natural beauty: medieval villages, slopes of the Alps, numerous lakes.
Students can expect a balanced schedule, including workshops and seminars, as well as almost daily excursions with sightseeing and key places to explore the topics of the program.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Students are provided with single rooms with en suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and TV. The living residences are located in Campus Sursee, a few kilometers from Lucerne. Each of the students is provided with a daily balanced meal in a full-board format, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the self-service restaurant located next to the residence.
