GBOU School number 1 (St. Petersburg, Moskovsky district)

School No. 1 of the Moscow district of St. Petersburg was founded in 1957, since 1963 it has been an associated UNESCO school. The school is distinguished by a high level of knowledge of the English language among students and the USE scores above average.

School # 1 provides students with reduced and paid meals. Pupils from large, low-income and socially unprotected families receive the privilege by submitting an application to the school principal by their parents / legal representatives. The application must be accompanied by reference documents confirming the right to receive benefits.

Outside of school hours, pupils of school # 1 attend events dedicated to the days of Russian Military Glory and participate in social assistance projects.

Olympiads and competitions are held throughout the academic year.

Also, students are invited to participate in the delivery of the TRP standards.

The school mediation service is completely voluntary and anonymous for students, aimed at resolving disputes with the assistance of a mediator (independent person or persons as mediators) on the basis of voluntary participation in order to achieve a mutually acceptable solution. School mediation service   ready to work with all participants of the educational institution and organize mediation between:

School No. 1 is not equipped with the necessary technical means for teaching children with disabilities.

The academic year begins on September 1 - duration in weeks:

• For 1 grade - 33 academic weeks
• For grades 2-4 - 34 academic weeks
• For grades 5-9 - 34 academic weeks (or before the start of the OGE)
• For grades 10-11 - 34 academic weeks (or before the start of the USE).

The duration of the school week for primary and 5th grade is 5 days, the number of lessons per day does not exceed six, the duration of one lesson is 40-45 minutes. Students in grades 6-11 study 6 days a week with a duration of one lesson of 45 minutes.
