Description of GBOU Lyceum №470

School №470 was opened in 1964, since 2010 it received the title of lyceum, and in 2011 secondary school №93 was added to it. The Lyceum now has two buildings: for the senior and primary schools.
Lyceum №470 provides students with the opportunity to get a ticket to health summer day camps. Acceptance of applications for a voucher is held at the school from April 1. Free vouchers are provided to children from families of the privileged category.

Lyceum №470 provides an opportunity to eat at a reduced price or for a fee. Preferential meals are provided for students from low-income, large and socially unprotected families. To be eligible for preferential meals, parents / legal representatives of the student must fill out an application addressed to the school principal and provide certificates confirming that they belong to the preferential category.

After school hours, students of the lyceum have the opportunity to attend circles in vocal and art studios, to study additionally chemistry, geography and traffic rules.
Lyceum students also participate in Olympiads in general subjects, the project "Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics" and Presidential Sports Games, they can pass the TRP standards.
In the summertime, students have the opportunity to go to one of the day-stay health camps in St. Petersburg.

The lyceum has 42 rooms fully equipped for the educational process, where interactive whiteboards and projectors are used. There are two stationary computer labs with 11 or 12 workplaces for students. All computers are connected to a local network and have Internet access.

Number of educational days depends on the class:

Terms and duration of vacations:
- Autumn holidays: October 26 - November 02 (8 days);
- Winter holidays: December 28 - January 11 (15 days);
- Spring break: March 21-28 (8 days).
- Additional holidays for first graders: February 03 - February 09 (7 days).
Duration and number of lessons per day:
- 1 grade - no more than 4 lessons a day (once a week the fifth lesson - physical education), from January to May no more than five lessons a day. Duration of one lesson - 35 minutes;
- Grades 2-4 - no more than 5 lessons per day during the school year, lesson duration - 45 minutes;
- 5-6 grades - no more than 6 lessons, duration of one lesson - 45 minutes;
- 7-11 grades - no more than 7 lessons, the duration of one lesson is 45 minutes.
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
To enter the 1st grade of Lyceum №470, a child must be at least 6 years and 6 months old and no more than 8 years old. Parents / legal representatives should fill out an application electronically (on the website of the State Services) or in writing when visiting the institution and attach the following documents to it:
- Child registration certificate at the place of residence (form No. 8);
- Certificate of registration of the child at the place of stay (form No. 3);
- Passport of one of the parents / legal representatives of the child with a mark of registration at the place of residence;
- Registration certificate in form No. 9 (equivalent to an extract from the house register) with data on the registration of the child and (or) his parent.
Students wishing to enter at a lyceum over grade 1, it is required:
- Completed application;
- Parent's / legal representative's passport;
- Child's birth certificate / passport;
- Certificate of registration of the child at the place of residence or at the place of stay in the assigned territory or a document containing information about the registration of the child at the place of residence or at the place of stay in the assigned territory;
- Documents confirming the pre-emptive right to enroll citizens for training in an educational institution (if any).
