Depaul University is the largest private Catholic research university in the country, offering several hundred bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs based on 10 specialized scientific colleges.

The institution was founded in 1898 and named after the French priest Saint Vincent de Paul. In 1998, it became the largest Catholic university in terms of the number of students, some of whom are the first in their families to receive higher education. Today, about 21,210 students study at Depaul University in two academic territories, receiving knowledge from qualified teachers and researchers. The American University is noted annually in the rankings, distinguished by its active research activities and the quality of education, the number of extracurricular development areas and the multinational student community.

Both campuses of Depaul University have students in comfortable residences of several types: traditional and apartment — in Lincoln Park, apartment — in the Loupe.

Depaul University's athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division I, competing with teams from the nation's leading institutions. Both Depaul University academic facilities are located in Chicago. The Lincoln Campus is located in the northern part of the city and includes 11 residences and academic buildings of five scientific colleges. There are five more specialized faculties on the Loop campus, and a residence hall is within walking distance.

Campuses have all the necessary facilities for learning, student activities, and sports: specialized laboratories and studios, libraries, lecture halls, computer labs, cafeterias, and more. The University owns several sports centers with gyms and studios, and two full-scale fields for team sports.

Education at Depaul University is conducted in trimesters:

Three examination sessions are conducted from June to August. Throughout the year, classes are held on weekdays, holidays are held on weekends, on national and international holidays, and during vacations.

The Admissions Committee waits for the completed application, the application fee paid, and the required documents, after which it invites candidates for an interview. Based on the results of acquaintance and based on academic data, employees send out official letters of enrollment.

More than 90% of bachelor's and master's graduates are employed/continue their studies within six months after graduation.

The university accepts a limited number of foreign applicants who will be required to provide:

Every year, the university's scholarship fund allocates about $300,000,000  for financial support of students: students can receive a scholarship based on their merits in study, sports or creativity, as well as apply for special financial aid based on benefits.
