Kindergarten

The campus creates a modern and comfortable environment where students can develop their abilities: spacious classrooms with interactive whiteboards and multifunctional equipment, areas for individual and group work, a combination of traditional and digital learning resources. The library offers books in English, French, Arabic, and Spanish. Laboratories and art studios provide opportunities for research, experimentation, and creativity. A spacious lobby and well-designed infrastructure make the school environment convenient and vibrant.

Sports areas support an active extracurricular life: basketball courts, an artificial-turf football field, and play and socialising zones suitable for students of all ages.

A new campus is opening in the 2026/2027 academic year: it is located next to the current buildings and is designed for students in grades 10–13. The project was created in collaboration with international educational consultants and the architectural firm MSCEB. The space includes modern classrooms, a dedicated sixth-form centre with study and meeting areas, a library and research spaces, and 8 science laboratories. The Inspired AI platform is being prepared for personalised learning. The sports infrastructure of this campus includes a full-size FIFA football pitch, a 25-metre, 8-lane swimming pool, an eight-lane athletics track, covered padel tennis and tennis courts, several sports halls and courts for team sports. For creative pursuits, there is an acoustic hall seating 500+, 2 theatres, music classrooms, 12 rehearsal rooms and fine art studios, as well as a multifunctional hall for events and presentations.

Admission dates and extra charges

At British School Bahrain, the academic year begins at the end of August and ends at the end of June. In the autumn term there is a mini-break at the end of October, a long holiday planned for the New Year and Christmas celebrations, and then — in summer.

Enrolment process

Admission to British School Bahrain takes place in several stages.

  1. Registration

An online application is filled out and documents are submitted. For admission to Sixth Form from non-British schools, a certificate of alternative qualifications is required. The registration fee is paid.

  1. Assessment

Testing is conducted by age: younger students are assessed for school readiness, English, and social skills; in the first two years, mathematics and English tests are added; from the third year onwards — an online exam (mathematics, English, non-verbal reasoning, and writing).

  1. Enrollment

After successful selection, a PSA agreement is signed, the fee and textbook deposit are paid, and final enrollment takes place after all documents have been submitted and tuition has been paid.

  1. Start of studies

Students are introduced to their class teacher and team. The first term is considered an adaptation period and is accompanied by additional support.
