Description Bishopstrow College UK

  • Location of Bishopstrow College: Warminster, Wiltshire, England;
  • Students age: 7 to 17 years;
  • Educational programs: preparation for intermediate and high school;
  • Total number of students: 40 people.

Education at the famous private school Bishopstrow College will allow foreign students to prepare for an education abroad, to adapt to the local educational environment and life on campus. The school was founded about 20 years ago, aiming to help international students to integrate into the British educational system and the learning environment.

Children from 7 to 17 years are admitted to the courses - programs of preparation for both secondary and high schools are offered. Bishopstrow College is opened all year round. Students actively study English and basic school subjects (science, mathematics, humanities, geography, history), experienced teachers help to prepare for admission and successful education in English boarding schools. Employees and administrators will help pupils to make the right choice, tell about the peculiarities of each educational institution, help to correctly formulate an application and collect a package of documents.

Usually the duration of the preparatory courses is 1-4 quarters: due to the high intensity of the study and the individual approach, as well as the limited number of places on the course (in the same class, approximately 5-8 people are engaged), this is quite sufficient for effective studying. Children quickly improve the language level, become more confident in themselves and their abilities, improve their knowledge of basic academic subjects and areas. For the maximum adaptation in Bishopstrow College, an official studying scheme, Core Curriculum, has been adopted, which is used in secondary and high school in the UK.

Additionally, students (both boys and girls) can attend individual classes aimed at practicing a personal interview and passing the entrance exams or tests. Parents constantly receive detailed reports and can visually assess the progress of their child, chances of success upon admission. Graduates of Bishopstrow College can continue their studies in any institution of their choice: in Britain and abroad, in women's and men's boarding schools, mixed-school institutions.

Bishopstrow College is accredited by the British Council under the scheme "Accreditation UK", is included in the register of the Office of Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). The educational programs have been recognized by the Office of Educational Standards (Ofsted), which corresponds to the level of the National Curriculum and the National Qualification Framework.
