AnSTU educates engineering and technical personnel in the field of petrochemistry, construction, chemistry and instrumentation. Today, the University is a center for education of the highly qualified personnel for the East Siberian regions of the country. One of the priorities of the university is to meet the needs of modern society in qualified specialists with higher education.

The implementation of the educational program at AnSTU provides for the following forms of organization of cognitive activity of students: lectures, practical and seminar classes, extracurricular activities.

AnSTU consists of 3 faculties:

• technological
• management and business,
• technical cybernetics.

Every year, research and scientific-practical conferences are held on the basis of AnSTU, periodicals and collections are published:

• "Bulletin of AnSTU",
• "Modern Technologies and Scientific and Technological Progress",
• "Collection of scientific works of young scientists and students",
• "Collection of scientific papers of AnSTU".

AnSTU was established on the basis of the VTUZ plant at the Angarsknefteorgsintez Production Association (today Angarsk Petrochemical Company JSC).

At the disposal of AnSTU there is one dormitory with a total capacity of 324 beds. The dormitory is provided on a first-come, first-served basis for nonresident and foreign students.

In the dormitories of AnSTU, conditions have been created for comfortable living for the duration of education. There is a pass system. Upon check-in, you must have:

• Proof of identity, citizenship,
• 2 photos,
• Fluorography and a certificate from a dermatologist.

Young people additionally need to submit a registration certificate or military ID.

The monthly cost of living is from 463 rubles.

The dormitory is equipped with common kitchens, on the territory of AnSTU there are two canteens with a total capacity of 110 people.

Comfortable conditions for learning and recreation have been created for university students. Excursions to museums and enterprises are held annually, sports competitions, concerts, festivals and other cultural events are organized in AnSTU itself.

The campus of AnSTU is located near the park of the dispensary "Rodnik", you can get to it by bus or by private car. The sessions are held in 2 educational and 1 laboratory buildings, all buildings are partially adapted for people with disabilities. Additionally, there is a sports and recreation complex, a library and a medical center on campus.

At AnSTU, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held. Students are provided with holidays: winter (January) and summer (July-August).

Acceptance of documents for full-time education at ANSTU begins on June 20 of this year. At the same time, an applicant can apply for 5 directions. Deadlines for accepting documents for state-funded places:

• Until July 12 - for persons entering on the basis of the results of entrance examinations conducted by the University independently;
• Until July 25 - for persons applying for the results of the exam.

The deadline for accepting documents is August 3.

About 2,000 students study at AnSTU. About 300 state-funded places are allocated annually. The most popular destinations:

• "Informatics and Computer Engineering".

Students of AnSTU undergo practical education on the territory of JSC "Angarsk Petrochemical Company", in the future, graduates of the university are priority personnel for this company.

Every year, about 95% of graduates get a job in the first year after graduating from AnSTU.

Basic requirements for applicants to AnSTU:

• Level of education (secondary general or secondary vocational),
• Successful completion of the exam or entrance examinations.

The minimum amount of the state academic scholarship at AnSTU is 2272 rubles.
