A new learning format for international students is launching in Northern Ireland. Ulster University and Oxford International have announced a long-term partnership, as part of which a School of International Education will be established at the university — a new division with career-oriented and practical skills programs.
The first students will begin their studies this year. At launch, the school will offer bachelor's programs in business, computer science, law, and engineering — directions that are particularly in demand among foreign students today.
The new project will be implemented on the Ulster University campus in Belfast — a modern district close to the city centre. For students, this means not only studying in an international environment, but also comfortable urban infrastructure, quick access to Belfast's key locations, and a vibrant student life.
The partnership is designed for 10 years. As part of the collaboration, Oxford International will handle the international promotion of the university's programs and help attract students from around the world. The company already has an extensive international network: 2,500+ consultants and operations in 50+ education markets, so the task looks straightforward. Oxford International notes that Ulster University has become a particularly interesting partner for them due to its strong industry ties and focus on graduate employability — the university is known for its practical approach to education and close collaboration with employers.
Ulster University itself expects the new partnership to help make its international student community even more diverse. The university currently has 30,000+ students representing 70+ countries.
